Chalke Talk 95: What is the message of the New Testament in a nutshell?

This week Steve wraps up, his 95 questions pertinent to the church today, Chalke Talk. Started as a response to the 500-year anniversary of the Martin Luther’s 95 questions to the church of his day, which set off the reformation, Steve has journeyed through tough questions that boggle the minds of Christians today, and are often responsible for behaviour which is contradictory to the message of the gospel.

And this week, Steve pulls all the red threads together, which have been laid throughout this series, to suggest that the New Testament's message, in a nutshell, is: “We’re all in. Now, let’s live like it.”

So then why did Paul bother with a gruelling ministry journey that sought a life of persecution, ridicule and chronic discomfort is everyone was in from the start.

Steve suggests it comes down to our idea of the word “saved” we always interpret it refers to the afterlife, when in fact it’s what’s happening here and now.
