Chalke Talk 56: Is the "good news" for ALL people?

This week Steve puts forward the question that has troubled Christians throughout the ages and into today: “If God's grace is real grace – amazing, undeserved, non-discriminatory, in-containable, extraordinary grace – then why wouldn’t it apply to everyone regardless of their geography, their religious beliefs or their capacity to believe in God or not?”

Steve, as he has before, argues that starting with the foundation that God is love leads us to believe that God’s grace extends past all human-made barriers. And the one of the most significant supports for this in the Bible is the book of Acts, which documents the journeys of Jesus’s first followers. “The word hell is never used even once in that preaching and teaching. And, perhaps even more surprisingly to some, the apostle Paul never uses it either. It is as though he didn’t even know the word existed!” argues Steve.
